This quilt is my version of this wonderful scrap quilt from the photograph published in the book "A People and Their Quilts" by John Rice Irwin. I think the book is no longer available, but if your ever see it buy it! It is not a quilt pattern book but tells the stories of the people who made their quilts, in their language, from the back hills of Tennessee. I have owned the book for about 40 years.

I first made the quilt about 15 years ago, with just one background, and 12-inch blocks. It was beautiful and I no longer have it, but always wanted to remake it, with a scrappy look and using smaller pieces.

The embroidery of course is optional, and you could add vintage embroidery."

Pattern includes yardage requirements and 3 acrylic eye spy templates.

The finished size is approx.  65 x 65 inches.
